Dementia Care

We know how worrying and stressful it can be when faced with the reality that a loved one is living with dementia or increasing memory loss and are struggling to cope alone. Watching someone close whose life is impacted by the varying symptoms presented by dementia can be upsetting.

Many family carers will feel guilty that they themselves are struggling to cope and provide the care and support their loved one needs. Where can I get the best care? How can my loved one continue to enjoy life? How can I better manage their changing needs? These are some of the questions you may have asked yourself.

Mental health is something that we can all relate to and something we provide support for in all services. Specialist mental health services support people with a diagnosed mental health condition, which can be anything from:

  • Anxiety and panic disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Personality disorders

Through self-development and collaborative support with staff, the people we support gain self-confidence and improved emotional wellbeing on their pathway to independence and recovery.

We support people using a model which focuses on the following areas:

  • Managing mental health
  • Physical health and self care
  • Living skills
  • Social networks
  • Work
  • Relationships
  • Addictive behaviour
  • Responsibilities
  • Identity and self-esteem
  • Trust and hope
